Mark Epstein is an award-winning adventure travel, action sports, and landscape photographer based in both Los Angeles and Jackson Hole. He offers fine art prints capturing some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes, breathtaking vistas, and urban cityscapes, ranging from deserts to mountains to oceans, and beyond.
Over the years, Mark’s style and process have evolved to capture stunning colors and intricate details, allowing viewers to fully experience the diverse cultures and essence of every place he’s visited. His lifelong passion for adventure and the outdoors has inspired his imagery for nearly two decades.
Born and raised in Jackson Hole, Mark was a nationally ranked alpine ski racer before pursuing big mountain skiing throughout the West. His passion for skiing, combined with his talent for mastering emerging technology and media, led to a career as Digital and Photo Director for the pioneering ski magazine, FREEZE. During these formative years, he traveled the winter world alongside some of the sport’s most talented and entertaining skiers, honing his eye for storytelling through landscapes.
Following his time at FREEZE, Mark worked with some of the world’s leading action and adventure sport photographers as a digital technician and post-production specialist, all while continuing his own commercial photographic pursuits. He has collaborated with landscape, fashion, and lifestyle photographers and worked with renowned brands like Red Bull, Nordstrom, CBS Sports, Microsoft, Nintendo, Oakley, Helly Hansen, Havaianas, Canon, and more.
